Former Renault, Toyota and Super Aguri F1 driver Franck Montagny will join the grid for Super League Formula’s third season. In 2010 the Frenchman will be steering the car for FC Girondins de Bordeaux.

FIA launches 2011 team selection process

Formula 1 governing body the FIA has invited interested parties to submit team entries ahead of the 2011 season. With one space currently vacant following the recent US F1 debacle, the Paris-based federation will be selecting a thirteenth outfit for the grid as well as a backup team.

Lauda impressed by Schumacher comeback

Michael Schumacher officially returned to Formula 1 as a race driver at last week’s Bahrain Grand Prix. According to Niki Lauda the German couldn’t have done any better than he did. Lauda believes Schumacher will need just a few more races to adjust to the new kinds of Formula 1 cars.

Kobayashi hoping to be more competitive in Melbourne

Sauber driver Kamui Kobayashi faced hydraulic problems and retired from last week’s Bahrain Grand Prix. The Japanese driver hopes to be more competitive ‘down under’ next weekend, however, even though he is yet to complete his first miles at the Albert Park street circuit.
